On April 7, 1933, President Roosevelt took the major first step toward ending Prohibition and signed a law allowing people to brew and distribute beer in the United States. Upon signing the legislation, FDR famously stated, “I think this would be a good time for a beer.” For the first time in thirteen years, beer drinkers celebrated and were happy to be able to purchase beer again. On that same day, 1.5 million barrels of beer were consumed, inspiring the holiday celebrated today.

At Woody’s, we’ve got Mexican beer, Belgium beer, craft beer, and more! So grab a friend (or twelve) and come in for a pizza and beer (or twelve)!
